Linkus Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us at Linkus. This privacy policy explains how we collect, store, and manage your data.
Data We Collect
The extension temporarily stores the shareable link and name of the last clicked Google Drive file or folder locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device and is used only to display it in the popup for quick copying. No personal data is collected or stored on our servers by the extension itself.
Personal Data Collection
When you voluntarily submit your email address via the optional interest-gathering form in the popup, it is sent to our backend and stored only in Sender for the purpose of gauging interest in potential future features.
Google Account Access
We do not collect IP addresses, location data, Google Drive file contents, or any other personal or sensitive information automatically. The extension does not require broad Google Drive permissions beyond reading minimal metadata on user interaction.
Data Use
Collected data (local link/name and optional email) is used solely to provide the core one-click link copying feature and to understand user interest in improvements. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except Sender (which handles email storage under strict confidentiality).
Data Retention
Local link/name data remains on your device until you clear browser storage or uninstall the extension. Emails are retained only as long as needed or until you request deletion.
Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect any data handled on our backend (emails in Sender). No system is 100% secure.
User Control
You can clear local data via browser settings, request email deletion by contacting support, or revoke the extension's access to Google Drive pages via chrome://extensions at any time.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
